Do we all need to be members to play? A. No - but the person who books the pitch needs to be a member. Membership is free and it’s easy to apply. Are there facilities to change and store our belongings while we play? A. Yes, there are two well-sized changing rooms equipped with shower and locker facilities. Female changing facilities are also available. Q. How far in advance are bookings accepted? A. Pitches can be booked up until 7 days in advance. We recommend booking as early as possible in order to avoid disappointment. i.e. you can book at 9.00am on a Monday morning for the following Monday and so on. Q. What times are available to book? A. 5-a-side pitches can be booked on the hour and the half hour and our 7-a-side pitches on the half hour. This applies between the hours of 9.00am until 11.30pm seven days a week. Q. How long is each booking? A. Bookings can be made in multiples of one hour in duration. Q. Can we play at the time and on the day of our choice? A. Yes, subject to availability. If the day or time that you require is not available, Pro-Soccer will be glad to offer or book you an alternative, and/or place you on a standby list for your 1st choice booking. Q. What is a Pro-Soccer Block Booking? A. An agreement between Pro-Soccer and a current Pro-Soccer member for a block of 11 consecutive pitches or in multiples thereof. Q. What are the benefits of a block booking? A. No more phone calls to reserve your desired day or kick off time or the disappointment of not getting the time you want. Q. Do I need to pay for the block of pitches up-front? A. No, although up-front payments are accepted, you can pay on a weekly basis prior to play. Q. Do we all need to be members to play in a league? A. No - but the team organiser must complete a league application form and pay a registration fee. Simply call Pro-Soccer on 01292 280 606 to have a league application form posted to you, or download one here. Q. How long is a Pro-Soccer 5-a-side league season? A. Generally the answer to this question is fourteen weeks, however, some mini leagues or grading divisions may differ slightly. Q. How many teams make up a Pro-Soccer 5-a-side division? A. Eight, however, some mini leagues or grading divisions may differ slightly. Q. How many players can my team use for a match? A. Eight in total, five players and three substitutes. Q. How many players can my team use throughout a season? A. Fifteen. Q. Are referees included? A. Yes, Pro-Soccer will always arrange a qualified official for all matches. Q. Are the leagues affiliated to the SFA? A. Yes, we are affiliated to the Scottish Welfare Football Association. Q. Can I choose what night of the week I play? A. Yes, subject to availability. Pro-Soccer run leagues on a variety of days, both weekend & midweek. Q. Can my team join a league mid-season? A. Yes, providing there is a vacancy available. Q. Do my players need to wear shin guards? A. Yes, shin guards are compulsory for league play. Q. What type of footwear is suitable? A. No, this is not a requirement, but it helps. Q. Is there promotion and relegation at the end of each season? A. Yes, generally two teams are promoted and two teams are relegated from each division. Q. What do the winners and runners up of each division win? A. Please call Pro-Soccer on 01292 280 606for an up-to-date prize list. Q. What if our opposition fails to turn up for a game or cancels it? A. Pro-Soccer will try to get you a friendly match.
PRIVATE FUNCTIONS (For Terms & Conditions - Click here) Q. How many people can the function room hold? A. We are licensed to hold 180 people. Q. Is there a cost to hire the function room on a Friday or Saturday evening? A. No, the room is free to hire on a Friday and Saturday evening, however, a reservation deposit is required to secure your chosen date (returnable subject to terms and conditions). Q. Do you take provisional bookings? A. Only for a maximum of 3 days, then the reservation deposit is required before a booking can be confirmed. If this is not received by the end of the 3 days the date will become available again. You can only hold a date provisionally on one occasion. Q. What time are you licensed until? A. 10.30pm. This can be extended until 11.30pm or 12.30am depending on the function type and upon payment of a Late Licence fee. Q. Can you provide catering? A. Yes, we have two menus that you can choose from for your special occasion or you can provide your own. Q. Can we decorate the function room? A. Yes, certain areas may be decorated, please call the centre for access times prior to your function. No cellotape or tacks are allowed to be used, only blu-tac. Q. Does the smoking ban apply at Pro-Soccer? A. Yes, smoking is banned as per all public places in Scotland. There is a designated smoking area outside. Q. Do you take midweek & Sunday function bookings? A. We take midweek bookings, however, there is a room hire charge of £275 applicable. We unfortunately do not cater for private bookings on a Sunday. Q. Will guests be searched? A. It is not a common practice at Pro-Soccer; however, we reserve the right to search anybody entering out premises. Q. Will all my guests be permitted? A. Anybody who we believe to be under the age of 18, who is bearing no proof of age (Pro-Soccer accept a valid British Passport or Photographic driving license) shall be refused entry. Pro-Soccer recommend that anybody under the age of 25 bring an accepted for of age identification. reserve the right to refuse entry without reason. Q. Alcoholic gifts - are they permitted? A. Yes, but they may not be consumed on the premises. Pro-Soccer will store them until you leave. Q. Can I leave my presents and excess buffet after the function? A. Unfortunately Pro-Soccer cannot accept responsibility for anything left after the end of a function. Q. How do I get my deposit back? A. Your deposit is returnable 24 hours after the completion of the function, providing the Pro-Soccer Private Function terms & conditions were adhered to and 60 or more adult guests were present during the head count taken during the function. You must collect your deposite within 45 days. |
